Movies

Hi, guys, today I would like to talk to you about the movies I produced and
how it went down.
As you might know already, I am passionate about cinema and arts in
general.

I think there is so much you can say while producing a movie, and I love to
create a whole moving environment and context for a unique scenario.

So, the first step to write a good scenario is to place the key elements.
These include:

-The theme
-The intrigue
-The characters
-The setting

It works a little bit like cooking a dish. You have to judge the right quantity
of each element. None of them can be disproportionately bigger
than the other, and everything has to be coherent while keeping the
suspense.

For the thriller movie Momentum that I produced in 2019, I knew I wanted
to start the scenario redaction with one idea in mind: create a psychological
conflict for the principal character, Nathan Miller. Then I added the elements piece by piece in order to implement his internal conflict.
His mom, Vera Miller, asked him to think differently than he was. In fact,
while he was concerned by his quantum physics research, his mom was
talking about faith… Two different worlds you would say. Well, it seems different unless you know the truth.

And that is when the story went down.

What I love about movies is that you can create a drama that
holds a lot of information in a short period of time. The short movie format
that I choose to work with is well guided with an intense storyline and
strong effects.

Ultimately, the drama can be defined in three forms : first, a story that holds
your breath, second, a story that gives you fresh air, and third, a story that
alternates both firsts.

What I like about movies: from an original idea, there are so many
possibilities to place and displace elements to create your story, but
ultimately it is the story of the spectator.

  1. Wow, you are super talented! I actually caught up with you IG and stumbled upon your site and enjoyed your post about make up. I didn’t know you’re a producer too! Awesome xx

  2. Nice, you should definitely show a clip or two of the movie. I would love to see it. Which particular genres do you like? I’m a sucker for romcoms but a good thriller/horror movie every now and then wouldn’t hurt. Lol! 🙂

  3. I enjoy watching movies because its a temporary escape from reality and you get immersed in another world for an hour or so. Kudos to the producers and writers of great movies, I know it is hard work — nice of you to partake in such an endeavor. Best of luck on your future movies!

  4. Congrats on the award! Its hard to please audience and critics these days, so many elements have to be considered and yet you nailed it. What made you choose suspense/thriller?

  5. Johana you are amazing! How do you even manage your time these days? Whew, I mean directing a film is not an easy business and I’m sure you have a lot of other things on your plate….. But congrats though, please do share more about your film projects.

  6. May I simply say what a relief to uncover somebody that really understands what theyre discussing over the internet. You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people really need to check this out and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that youre not more popular because you certainly have the gift.
