Beauty and skincare routine is essential to women’s confidence and positively affects our success as women. Initially I was not quite sure where to begin; which products to use, in what order and how often to use them. A deeper look at the modern day beauty products reveals that the majority of such products are packed with harmful and toxic chemicals.
For such a basic necessity, it can certainly be overwhelming. I have taken the time and did my due diligence in studying the makeup products as well as trial and error in order to find the best results for my skin; where I have established a daily routine to keep my skin healthy and brilliant. I am sure many women want to improve their skin care.
A simple beauty routine is effective, consisting of cleansing and moisturizing as well as maintaining a balanced diet. However, keeping a healthy well balanced diet is for another discussion. My facial skin is a mix where it is slightly oily on the forehead and normal for the rest of my face, therefore I use specific products for each area.
Cleansing is the first and easiest step in the skin care process. I chose a gentle natural cleanser for my skin type; I avoided cleansers that are packed with active ingredients which can strip my skin of its nutrients or react negatively with other products.
Prior to moisturizing my skin I apply organic rose water as a toner and sometimes I apply vitamin C serum. About once or twice a week I use a facial sheet mask or a clay mask in order to keep my skin clean, detoxified and hydrated.
The main goal of a moisturizer is to hydrate and protect the skin. I carefully choose my moisturizer by reading the fine print of its ingredients. I avoid at all costs the moisturizers which contain Paraben and or Carbamide.
The moisturizing lotion should also consist of some sun protection factor (SPF) which I believe would protect my skin from harmful sun rays. Some hydrating lotions do not contain SPF; then I would use an additional product that has a high sun protection factor especially in the warmer season. The best thing you can do for your skin is to be in tune with it. Know your needs, know the three basic elements of a skincare regimen, and select your products accordingly. You’ll look great and feel even better!
